Crush Offense Held by Wild

The Queen City Crush faced the Ozark Mountain Wild on Thursday, July 19th. The Crush offense was able to get three men on base, but were held scoreless in the first. 

Quinn Price took the mound first for the Crush. Price hurled 3 innings and struck out two Wild, but allowed 5 runs. 

Landon Shigeta came to the mound to relieve Price. Shigeta pitched 3 innings and allowed only 1 run. Shigeta struck out 3 Wild during his time on the mound. 

It wasn't until the top of the fifth that the Crush offense was able to put a run on the board. Trent Turner was walked and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Turner extended his lead for stolen bases  by stealing third. Tanner Lumley grounded out, but allowed Turner to come home before the end of the inning. 

Joe Lee closed the game and allowed only 3 hits, but also allowed 3 runs. 

The Crush offense fought hard, but was shut down by the Wild.
